Umbrella Corporation is a privately held life sciences group with operations in Ireland, Germany and the United Kingdom. The group was established in 1998 to consolidate three independent laboratories under a single research and manufacturing structure.
Today the group employs approximately 1,200 people. Our activities span pharmaceutical development and licensed manufacture, speciality chemical production, and healthcare services delivered to institutional clients.
We are not a fast-moving company, and we do not try to be. Our programmes run for years, our facilities are built for decades, and our client relationships are measured in the same terms.

Two decades of steady growth.
Umbrella Corporation is founded. Three independent research laboratories are consolidated under a single holding structure, with initial headquarters in London.
Umbrella Pharma Ltd. is incorporated in Ireland. The Dublin facility begins licensed manufacture of small-molecule therapeutics.
Acquisition of a speciality chemical plant in Frankfurt am Main, which becomes Umbrella Chemical GmbH.
Umbrella Health Services is established in London to deliver occupational health and diagnostic programmes to corporate clients.
Group-wide quality management system certified across all three entities.
Expansion of the Dublin analytical laboratory and commissioning of a second production line at the Frankfurt site.
Three operating companies under one holding structure.
Umbrella Pharma operates the group's primary manufacturing and analytical laboratory capability. The Dublin site holds manufacturing authorisations for both commercial supply and investigational product.
The Frankfurt plant produces speciality chemicals and intermediates for industrial, agricultural and laboratory customers, operating under German and European chemical safety regulation.
Umbrella Health delivers occupational health programmes, diagnostic services and clinical support contracts to corporate and institutional clients across the United Kingdom.
